Michael Bond [Fred Banbery] – Paddington Bear – First Edition 1972
£95.00
First edition, first printing. Published by Collins in London, 1972. This is a very good copy. The first of the Paddington picture books. The Banbery illustrations are bright and clean throughout. The spine is slightly loose, though intact – wrinkling to the laminate on the front panel. There is slight wear at the corners. The text blocks are slightly toned. This copy is free from previous owners ink and is, overall, in very good condition.
The first story featuring Paddington Bear, who meets the Browns on Paddington railway station after travelling from darkest Peru, with only a jar of marmelade, a suitcase and a hat.
(We don't keep all of our stock in the shop, so send us an email if you're planning a trip to see a particular author or book.)
