A first edition, first printing of ‘Dr No’ published by Cape in 1958. A very good book without inscriptions. Some bumping to the book corners – a little toning to the page edges. SIGNED on the title page by the actress Eunice Gayson who played the character ‘Sylvia Trench’ in the 1962 motion picture of ‘Dr No’. Additionally signed by the actor Charles Edghill, who played one of the ‘Three Blind Mice’ on the rear of the half-title page. In a very good (or better) dust wrapper with three small repairs to the rear panel. Some light chipping to the spine tips and corners.

*Dr. No* is the sixth James Bond novel by Ian Fleming, published in 1958. It follows British spy James Bond as he investigates the disappearance of two agents in Jamaica, leading to the mysterious Dr. No, a reclusive villain with a deadly plan. The 1962 film adaptation, starring Sean Connery in his debut as Bond, launched the iconic movie franchise. Set in the Caribbean, the film features classic Bond elements: espionage, action, gadgets, and glamorous women. Dr. No’s lair, Ursula Andress’s beach entrance, and Connery’s suave performance made the film a pop culture milestone and a blueprint for future Bond films.
