First edition, first printing. Published by Chapman & Hall, London, in 1960. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper is very good, with very slight wear at the top and tail edges and slight handling marks to the rear panel and a neat closed tear to the foot of the spine. It has not been price clipped and shows the original 16s net price. The original navy publishers boards are free from chips and marks and the gilt titling is bright. The text blocks are free from foxing and are bright and clean. This copy has two previous owners inscriptions to the pastedown and endpaper and is, overall, in very good condition.
