A first edition, first printing published by Chapman and Hall in 1932. A near fine copy with frontispiece-map (pp.303), original patterned ‘Snakeskin’ cloth, with spine letteredin gilt. A little fading to the spine and a little nicked at the head. Some rubbing, ownership bookplate of Dorothy Pardew to the front endpaper. In a very good unclipped wrapper with browning to the spine. Some rubbing and browning to the spine and a little loss to the corners. Staining to the front panel and spine of the dust wrapper.
