A first edition, first printing of One Day In The Life Of Robert Wilson’s The Life And Death Of Marina Abramovic by Robert Wilson and Marina Abramović, published by Hailand Books, London in 2011, limited to 1500 copies. A near fine soft cover large format copy, free from internal inscriptions, with very slight shelf-wear to the front board and with some light pushing to the corners of the front board.

The Life And Death Of Marina Abramovic premiered on July 9, 2011 at the Manchester International Festival.

At the intersection of theatre, opera and visual art, Robert Wilson’s re-imagining of performance artist Marina Abramović’s extraordinary life and work begins with her difficult childhood in the former Yugoslavia and chronicles her journey to the present day. Abramović, who plays herself as well as her imposing mother, is joined by world-renowned actor Willem Dafoe and singer Antony, performing original music and songs created for this ‘quasi opera.’ Tim Hailand documented the final dress rehearsal before the opening night and this book is the collation of his many colour and black and white images.

The Life and Death of Marina Abramović played to sold-out audiences and rave reviews in Madrid, Basel, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Toronto and New York.
