First edition, first printing of ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’. Published by George Allen & Unwin in London, 1967. This is a near fine copy. The front and rear panels are clean and bright with some very slight bumping to the corners and some minor toning. The text blocks are bright, clean and free from foxing. There is a couple of spots of browning to the text blocks, however. There are no inscriptions, and is, overall, in near fine condition. Rubbing to the laminate. Complete with an official Golden Ticket prop – SIGNED with their character names by Paris Themmen (Mike Teevee), Peter Ostrum (Charlie), Julia Dawn Cole (Veruca Salt) and Michael Bollner (Augustus) – the ticket, purchased from Paris Themmen is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The story features the adventures of young Charlie Bucket inside the chocolate factory of eccentric chocolatier Willy Wonka.
