A first edition, first printing, published by Rupert Hart-Davis in 1957. A very good book with previous owner’s inscription and date on the front free end paper in blue ink, browning to the the text block, with very slight bumping to the head and foot of the spine. In a very good unclipped dust wrapper with some chips to knuckles of front and rear upper and lower panel folds, chips to the head and base of the spine, fading to the top of the front panel and top and spine of the rear panel, some internal browning. The dust wrapper executed beautifully by John Minton.
