Rex Pickett – Sideways – First US Edition 2004
£95.00
A first edition, first printing published by St. Martin’s Griffin in 2004. A near fine softcover book a touch rubbed to the corners and pushed to the head of the spine. No inscriptions
Andrew Hodges’ biography Alan Turing: The Enigma provided the primary source material for the critically acclaimed 2014 film The Imitation Game. The screenplay drew extensively from Hodges’ meticulous research to depict Turing’s crucial work at Bletchley Park cracking the Enigma code during World War II, as well as his subsequent arrest and chemical castration for being homosexual. The book was also the basis for an earlier 1986 play and 1996 television film, both titled Breaking the Code.
