A first edition, first printing published by Methuen in 1952. A very good book with a small previous owner’s inscription and date in blue ink on the front free end paper, some slight spotting to the text block with some minor bumping and fading to the head and foot of the spine. In a very good clipped dust wrapper with some minor internal staining, a little wear and bumping to the spine tips and corners. The dust wrapper executed beautifully by John Minton.

Death in Deep Green is a gripping environmental thriller that unfolds against the backdrop of the Amazon rainforest. Investigative journalist Terry Calder travels to Brazil to uncover the truth behind the suspicious death of an environmental activist. As Terry delves deeper into the murky world of corruption and corporate greed, he risks his life to expose the dark secrets hidden beneath the lush canopy of the jungle. Hastings’ novel skillfully blends suspense, action and environmental advocacy to deliver a compelling and thought-provoking narrative.
