£95.00

First edition, first printing. Published by Andre Deutsch in London, 1969. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper, illustrated by Leonard Rosoman is bright and clean, however the spine suffers from fading and browning which is typical of this title. The rear panel is slightly toned. It has not been price clipped and shows the original price of 30s net or £1.50. There are slight spots to the front flap. The internals, though mostly clean, have some spots of toning. The text blocks are foxed throughout, with a major spot of soiling to the right-hand corner. The boards are free from notable chips and marks and the text blocks are bright and white throughout. This copy is free from previous owners ink. It is a very good copy, cast down from the fine grading due to the browned spine.

A sequel to Cider with Rosie which detailed his early life in Gloucestershire after the First World War.
