Kurt Cobain was an American musician best known as the lead singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the influential rock band Nirvana. Born on February 20, 1967, in Aberdeen, Washington, he became a central figure in the grunge movement of the early 1990s. Nirvana’s breakthrough album ‘Nevermind’, featuring the iconic single “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” brought alternative rock into the mainstream. Cobain was known for his raw, emotive music and troubled personal life. Struggling with fame, addiction, and depression, he died by suicide in 1994 at age 27. Cobain remains a symbol of artistic authenticity and youthful rebellion.
