Written before Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ (1960), her only other published novel. Although ‘Go Set a Watchman’ was initially promoted as a sequel by its publisher, it is now accepted that it was a first draft of ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ with many passages in that book being used again.
