Graham Greene – The Honorary Consul – First Edition 1973
£45.00
First edition, first printing. Published by The Bodley Head in London, 1973. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper has some handling marks at the edges and slight bumping at the spine tips. It has been price clipped. There is a major tear to the rear panel, which casts this copy down from the near fine grading. The boards are clean in the publisher’s mint green cloth. The text blocks are bright and white throughout. Overall, this is a very good copy and free from inscriptions.
Greene considered this one of his favourite works. It is set at the run-up to Argentina’s ‘Dirty War’ in the early 1970s.
