First edition, first printing. Published by MacMillan & Co Ltd in London, 1949. This is a near fine copy. The dust wrapper, profusely illustrated by Stuart Tresilian, has some very slight rubbing and closed tears to the spine tips and corners. It has been price clipped and has some glue residue from an old price sticker. The illustrated boards, in the publishers cloth, have a slight lean though are else free from notable chips and mark. The text blocks are bright and white throughout, though with some very sparse foxing. The internals are mostly clean, though slightly foxed to the preliminaries. This copy is free from previous owners ink and is, overall, in near fine condition. A collectable book.
The Mountain of Adventure is the fifth thrilling instalment in the Adventure series by Enid Blyton, one of the best-loved children’s writers of all time. Illustrated by Stuart Tresilian.
