Enid Blyton – Five Run Away Together – First Edition 1944
£375.00
First edition, first printing. Published by Hodder & Stoughton in London, 1944. Without the dust wrapper. The pastel blue buckram has some staining to the front panel, spine and rear. There is a slight lean and the spine tips are so slightly bumped. The corners are also slightly bumped. The text blocks are markedly clean and free from foxing. There is a small previous owner’s inscription on the preliminary end paper, signed “To dear Doreen […] Xmas 1944’. Overall, though lacking the dust wrapper, this is a clean example of a wildly rare title.
The third title in Blyton’s famed ‘Famous Five’ series.
