Dick Morland [Reginald Hill] – Heart Clock – First Edition 1973
£65.00
First edition, first printing. Published by Faber & Faber in London, 1973. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper, designed by Dennis Leigh, is nicely illustrated and bright. There is some tape residue to the top and bottom edges on both panels. There are also light scratches throughout. It has been price clipped, but retains the original £2.35 net price, and suffers from some slight bumping at the spine tips and corners. There is a pasted in label, placed to Edinburgh and dated June 1981. This is a very good copy.
Matthew Matlock solved England’s population problem over forty years ago–the National expectation of Life would be regulated according to the condition of the economy. Now fighting against the system he devised, he suddenly becomes the focus of attention of powerful men.
