Michael Bond [Fred Banbery] – Paddington’s Garden – First Edition 1972
£45.00
A first edition, first printing of Paddington’s Garden by Michael Bond, published by Collins in 1972. A very good book without inscriptions, the paper-covered boards, with illustrations by Fred Banbery, are mostly bright and clean with some fading to the spine and pushing to the head and foot of the spine, with minor pushing to the corners of the front board and rear panel, the pages show spotting. Overall, this is a very good copy of a nice Paddington title.
The second book in the Paddington Picture Book series, Paddington’s Garden by Michael Bond invites readers into Paddington Bear’s world as he discovers the wonders of gardening. With his trademark enthusiasm and bumbling nature, Paddington attempts to cultivate a beautiful garden. Through humorous misadventures and heart warming encounters with neighbours, he learns valuable lessons about patience, resilience and the importance of community. Bond’s charming tale celebrates the joys of nature, friendship and the simple pleasures found in tending to a garden.
