First edition, first printing. Published by Methuen in London, 1937. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper is beautifully illustrated by Shepard but suffers from a major tear to the front panel which has been reasonably repaired. The wrapper is toned in places and worn at the corners. It has not been price clipped and shows the original 7s. 6d. net price. The rear panel has some handling marks present. There is one small, neat previous owners mark to the front flyleaf. The boards are free from notable chips and marks and the text blocks are markedly clean. Overall, this is a very good copy.
