Graham Greene – A Burnt Out Case – First UK Edition 1961
£75.00
A first UK edition, first printing published by Heinemann in 1961. A near fine book, without inscriptions, showing some slight staining to the top of the cloth boards. Some slight wear to the corners and head/base of the spine. Slight spotting to the text block, however, clean internally. In a like, unclipped wrapper showing some slight chipping to the extremities. Greene dedicated A Burnt-Out Case to Dr Michel Lechat, a medical doctor at a leper colony in Yonda, Africa (one of a number of such colonies Greene had visited in the Congo and the Cameroons, which had inspired the novel.
