A first edition, first printing of ‘The Light Fantastic’, published by Colin Smythe in 1986. A very good book without inscriptions with some fading to the bottom edge of the board and spine – pages are toned. In a very good spine faded dust wrapper with a little staining to the bottom of the spine internally. Rubbing to the edges and corners. Rare in UK first edition form.

The second Discworld novel, continuing the adventures begun in The Colour of Magic. It follows the bumbling wizard Rincewind and the naïve tourist Twoflower as they face perilous quests, trolls, and druids while trying to save the Discworld from destruction. With satirical wit and playful parody of fantasy tropes, Pratchett blends comedy, adventure, and sharp social commentary, cementing the Discworld series as a beloved cornerstone of modern comic fantasy.
