First edition, first printing. Published by the Brockhampton Press in London, 1966. This is a near fine copy. Illustrated by Leslie Stead, there are slight creases to the top and bottom edge of the dust wrapper, with some slight handling marks to the rear panel. There is a continuous crease on the spine– it has not been price clipped, showing the original ‘10/6’ net price. The boards, in light-blue cloth, are toned at the top edge, though have no further wear to note. The text blocks are toned at the top edge, though white throughout, there is slight foxing present. This copy is free from previous owners inscriptions. This is a near fine copy.

Air Commodore Raymond gets orders to put a stop to a gun-running racket which has been supplying weapons to rebels in Africa. Biggles fakes a retirement from the Air Police in the hope of getting employed, he hopes, by the wrong people.
