Description
A first edition, first printing of Witches Abroad by Terry Pratchett, published by Gollancz in 1991. A fine copy free from internal inscriptions, in a near fine wrapper with some fading to the spine.
Witches Abroad by Terry Pratchett is a comic fantasy novel in the Discworld series, following witches Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Magrat Garlick on a journey to the distant city of Genua. Their task is to stop a fairy godmother from forcing a young woman into a supposedly perfect fairy-tale ending. Published in 1991, the novel brilliantly satirises traditional fairy tales, destiny and storytelling, while exploring free will, identity, friendship and the dangers of imposed happiness.
