A first edition, first printing published by Jonathan Cape in 1951. A near fine book with internals free from inscriptions, the text block free from spotting and with very slight bumping to the head of the spine, a small scratch above the title on the front board, stamped on internal rear paste down, ‘W.H.S’. In a near fine unclipped dust wrapper with some slight puncture holes to the front panel, rear panel and rear flap, a little light general wear to the top edge and corners.

Dead Men Rising is a chilling maritime mystery set in the unforgiving waters of Scotland’s coastline. When a series of gruesome murders plague the seaside town of Inverness, Detective Inspector Callum MacGregor is thrust into a race against time to catch the elusive killer. As the body count rises, MacGregor must navigate treacherous waters of deceit and betrayal to unravel the sinister secrets hidden beneath the tranquil surface of the coastal community. Mackenzie’s novel expertly blends atmospheric suspense with gripping storytelling.
