First edition, first printing. Published by George Newnes Limited in London, 1948. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper is nicely illustrated by Thomas Henry, depicting William and his dog. There are some light surface scratches and some major tearing to the top of the spine. There are slight handling marks to the rear panel; it has not been price clipped, showing the original 7/6 net price. The internals are clean throughout and the text blocks are equally clean, aside from some slight foxing to the top edge. This copy is free from previous owners ink and is, overall, in very good condition.
