Accompanied by a first day covers from Childline and the Royal Mail – a selection of stamps – SIGNED in full by Raymond Briggs and one of a limited edition

The runner-up for the Kate Greenaway Medal from the Library Association, recognising the year’s best children’s book illustration by a British writer. In the United States, it was named to the Lewis Carroll Shelf Award list in 1979. The Snowman remains one of the best loved children’s books of all time and was made into a successful television symphonic animation in 1982.
