Accompanied by a limited edition print from the book – hand-signed by Raymond Briggs. Also comes with first day covers from Christmas 2004 and an additional letter from Royal Mail.
The runner-up for the Kate Greenaway Medal from the Library Association, recognising the year’s best children’s book illustration by a British writer. In the United States, it was named to the Lewis Carroll Shelf Award list in 1979. The Snowman remains one of the best loved children’s books of all time and was made into a successful television symphonic animation in 1982.
