Uncorrected proof copy. Published by Secker & Warburg, London, in 1963. This is an acceptable copy. The soft grey cover is incomplete, with the rear cover missing. The spine is creased and markedly faded, with some mild soiling. The front cover, however, is bright and remarkably clean. There is grease marking from a sticker in the top-right corner and the publishers black ink stamp to the bottom half, stating the ‘Date & Price [illegible] Publication’, which reads February, 18s. The text blocks are white where not foxed and the internals are the same, as is the back ‘cover’. It is free from inscriptions and annotations. Overall, this rare uncorrected proof copy is in acceptable condition. At the time of writing, this is the only available copy to be found.
