First edition, first printing of ‘Reach for the Sky’. Published by Collins in London, 1954. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper is nicely illustrated. A very good book with some light spotting to the page edges and fading to the lower portion of the spine – spotting internally. In very good unclipped wrapper with some wear to the edges and to the spine tips and corners and some neat internal repair. 

SIGNED without inscription nor dedication by Paul Brickhill on the title page.

Biography of an English hero in World War II who lost both legs in an air crash, learned to walk again, and became a fighter pilot during the Battle of Britain. He was captured but managed to escape from the enemy.
