First edition, first printing by The Folio Society of collected works of Oscar Wilde: Plays and Poems, Essays and Letters, Stories, introduced and edited by Wilde’s son Merlin Holland, published in 1993, each volume with colour and black and white plates throughout. A fine three volume set, very slight spotting to the front board and rear panel of Essays and Letters, similarly to the front board of Plays and Poems, tightly bound in ivory cloth bindings with gilt and brown art nouveau titles, internals free from inscriptions, the text blocks bright and crisp with dark brown top stain, with dark brown end-papers, the set in original publisher’s dark brown paper covered slipcase with gilt art nouveau title, with minor handling wear and slight damage to corner of upper panel.
