First edition, first printing. Published by Cassell in London, 1973. This is a very good (or better) copy. The dust wrapper, designed by Barbara Walton, has some curling and slight rubbing at the edges. The spine is sunned, though it has not been price clipped and retains the original £2.50 net price. The boards have some nicks and bumps at the corners, with some slight surface wear present. The internals are so slightly toned to the preliminaries. The text blocks are bright, but foxed throughout. The authors signature is signed in black ink, located to ‘Gozo, Malta, 1975’. Overall, this is a very good (or better) title, with the authors scarce signature.

Father Salvatore was a simple, lumbering priest, a kappillan serving the poor Valetta, when war came out of the blue skies to pound the island to dust…
