Michael Sadleir – Fanny By Gaslight – First UK Edition 1940
£125.00
A first edition, first printing published by Constable in 1940. A near fine copy with one neat name and date inscribed to the front free end paper. Off setting to the front and rear end papers and slight marking to the front and rear paste downs. Some slight bumping to the head and base of the spine. Binding is a little loose. In a like, unclipped wrapper with a little edge wear. Chipping to the head/base of the spine along with 3 small, closed tears. Some slight loss to top edge of the back cover. Famously filmed in 1944 starring the man, the legend, James Mason.
