First edition, first printings. Published by Hutchinson, London, from 1988-90. The first title, ‘Spy Hook’, is in near fine condition. The dust wrapper, with fine pictorial illustrations, is bright but with mild handling marks and slight wear at the corners. It has not been price clipped and shows the original £11.95 net price. The boards are free from chips and marks and the text blocks are bright and white. There are no previous owners inscriptions present.
The second title, ‘Spy Line’, is bright and clean. The dust wrapper has not been price clipped and shows the original £11.95 net price. The boards are free from chips and marks and the text blocks are bright and white throughout. It is free from previous owners ink.
The third and final title, ‘Spy Sinker’, is in very good (or better) condition. The dust wrapper is nicely illustrated but has one small tear and bump to the bottom left-hand corner. It has not been price clipped and shows the original £13.99 net price. The internals are clean throughout, aside from a slight smudging on the front fly leaf. The text blocks are bright, white and clean. Overall, this is a very good (or better) copy.
Overall, this is a near fine set, with the third and final title being cast down from the grading due to the chipping to the front panel.
