All first edition, first printings, published by Faber between 1957-60 (with no mention of subsequent printings). Comprising:JUSTINE Published by:Faber and Faber in 1957. Bound in original red boards with gilt/gold lettering to the spine with no inscriptions, marks or stamps whatsoever. Some fading and a little wear to the gilt titling to the spine and some light marks to the centre of the foot of the front board. A good+ book. In a very good+ FIRST ISSUE (later issues had the hand-print mimicking the front cover design to the spine of the dust wrapper and review for White Eagles Over Serbia’ being the last review on the rear panel). Small chip to the top of the front panel. Not price clipped showing 15s as called for. Some light chipping to corners and some browning to the spine. BALTHAZAR Published by:Faber and Faber in 1958. Bound in blue boards with gilt/gold lettering to the spine. Tightly bound without inscriptions. A very good book. In a very good+ clipped first issue wrapper. With a little light chipping to the spine tips. Two small internal tape repairs. MOUNTOLIVE Published by:Faber and Faber in 1958. Bound in yellow boards with gilt/gold lettering to the spine. Tightly bound with one name and date to the front pastedown. A near fine book with one small stain to the top edge.
