A first edition, first printing of ‘Cider With Rosie’. Published by The Hogarth Press in London, 1959. This is a near fine copy. The dust wrapper is finely designed by John Ward and has some mild wear at the spine tips. There is also slight rubbing at the edges. It is not price clipped. SIGNED to the foot of the front endpaper by Laurie Lee without dedication. Overall, this is a near fine copy. 

A wonderfully vivid memoir of childhood in a remote Cotswold village, a village before electricity or cars, a timeless place on the verge of change. Growing up amongst the fields and woods and characters of the place, Laurie Lee depicts a world that is both immediate and real and belongs to a now-distant past.
