A first edition, first printing of ‘One Hand Clapping’ published by Peter Davies in 1961. A near fine book without inscriptions (previous owner’s bookplate to pastedown) in a clipped wrapper (price sticker over original) which is near fine and unblemished aside from some rubbing to the corners. Famously reviewed by Burgess for the Yorkshire Post who claimed the novel as one of the best he’d ever read – well you would though. He was promptly sacked. Excessively scarce in nice condition.
