£185.00

First edition, first printing. Published by Country Life, London, in 1949. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper is plainly designed in a striking contrast of green and red, showing the snooker star himself. It has not been price clipped and shows the original 10s. 6. net price. The top and tail of the spine are mildly worn and with slight separation. There are traces of adhesive on the front and rear flaps, and on the front and rear paste downs. The text blocks are faintly foxed but generally clean. There is a previous owners inscription to the front fly leaf in neat blue ink. The internals, mostly clean, have some slight spotting throughout. Overall, this is a very good copy of a nice title.
If you are a fan of old-school snooker, you’ll love this book!
