First edition, first printing. Published by Michael Joseph in London, 1979. This is a very good (or better) copy. The dust wrapper is bright throughout but with some very minor wear at the spine tips and corners. It has been neatly price clipped and there is a crease to the front flap. There is slight lifting in the laminate along the top of the front panel. The boards are free from notable wear and the text blocks are bright and white throughout. The authors signature is neatly flat signed, alongside the illustrators, on the half title page. There is a crease to the full title, with some tape on both sides, appearing to reinforce some invisible tearing. Overall, this is a very good (or better) copy of a fine dual signed title.
James Herriot writes about the glorious moors, the gentle dales, dry-stone walls and sturdy farmhouses, ruined abbeys and castles among the hills, market towns, country villages and bracing, windy beaches, as he shares his love of Yorkshire.
