A first edition, first printing of the first paperback edition of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ published by George Allen and Unwin in 1968 – the first complete collection of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ – Containing the trilogy: The Fellowship of the Ring / The Two Towers / The Return of the King and preceding the Deluxe Edition of 1969. This is a very good without inscriptions, marks etc. The spine is faded. Neat closed tear. There is cracking and flaking to the bottom of the spine. Crease to the front panel. A few corner creases. Precedes the 1969 Deluxe edition.
