Ian Fleming – Goldfinger – First UK Edition 1959

First edition, first printing of ‘Goldfinger’. Published by Jonathan Cape in London, 1959. This is a very good (or better) copy. The Richard Chopping dust wrapper has chipping and toning to the front and rear panels, with some mild handling marks throughout and one light stain to the rear panel. The spine is minimally browned with bumping to the top and tail. It is not price clipped retaining the original price – a touch of loss to the corners and spine tips – some light internal repair. The book is very good, with the tooled eye on the front panel unmarked and bright. The text blocks show a little dulling to the top edge – without inscriptions and is, overall, in very good (or better) condition.
