A classic 1964 musical film based on the stage musical by Lerner and Loewe, itself adapted from George Bernard Shaw’s ‘Pygmalion’. The story follows Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl who is transformed into a refined lady by Professor Henry Higgins. Audrey Hepburn stars as Eliza, bringing charm, grace, and vulnerability to the role, despite her singing being dubbed by Marni Nixon. Hepburn’s performance was widely praised for her expressive acting and elegance, solidifying her status as a Hollywood icon. The film won eight Academy Awards and remains a beloved classic in musical cinema.
