£475.00

First edition, first printing. Published by the Sand Lake Press in Oregon, 1996 (simultaneously published in the UK). This is a near fine copy. The dust wrapper has some rippling to the top edge and a slight tear to the top right-hand corner. The spine tips are slightly bumped. It has not been price clipped. The boards are free from notable wear, aside from some slight bumping. The text blocks are bright and clean, and the internals are free from spotting. Geoffrey Boothroyd’s bookplate is present on the front pastedown, inscribed to ‘Dick Barder, with all best wishes, Geoffrey Boothroyd’ in black ink. A fine inscription in black ink and an equally fine bookplate, illustrated with a man at arms. Overall, this is a near fine copy of a fine signed title.
Geoffrey Boothroyd was a British expert on firearms who wrote several standard reference works on the subject. He provided weapons advice to author Ian Fleming for the James Bond novels and their film adaptations.
