True first US edition, first issue of Tales From The Jazz Age by F. Scott Fitzgerald, published by Scribners, New York in 1922, with the following first issue points: page 232, line 6, “an” for “and” (later editions corrected to read “and”); type batter page 22, line 13 (first “t”) & page 166, line 35 (bottom line – “h” & “e” in last “the”); on copyright page “Published September 1922” & with Scribner’s seal. A very good copy mostly free from internal inscriptions although ghosting is evident, from a previous bookplate, of a signature and date to the front free end paper, boards bound in publisher’s original dark green cloth with blind-embossed titling to the front board and similarly to the spine, pushing to the spine tips and corners, with shelf wear to the corners and rear board, some toning to the text block and with damp-staining to bottom edge, preliminary pages with rough cut fore-edge, cracked gutters to both front and rear paste-downs.

Contains eleven of Fitzgerald’s great short stories from the 1920’s, including ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ and ‘The Diamond as Big as the Ritz’. Table of contents with comments by the author about each piece.
