First US edition, first printing. Published by Little Brown in Boston, 1929. This is a very good (or better) copy. The dust wrapper is finely illustrated by Berlin born artist Paul Wenck. There is some separation to the top edge and at the spine tips. There are slight surface scratches present and creasing at the right-hand edge and rear panel. It has not been price clipped. The boards are fine with no notable wear; they look handsome in the publishers grey cloth and black lettering. The text blocks are clean and free from foxing. The internal pages are free from previous owners ink. This edition was published in the same year as the first German book edition, and the same year as the UK edition. Overall, this is a very good (or better) copy.
