A first edition, first printing of Look Out Secret Seven by Enid Blyton, published by Brockhampton Press, Leicester in 1962, illustrated by Burgess Sharrocks. A near fine book, number 24 written on front pictorial paste down, uncompleted ‘This book belongs to’ panel to half title page, photograph corners applied to rear pictorial paste down, boards bound in original publisher’s light blue cloth with blue titling to the spine and illustrated with seven Secret Seven ‘S’ symbols, slight pushing to head and foot of the spine, the text block with some browning and spotting. In a near fine unclipped wrapper with chipping to spine tips and knuckles of front and rear flap folds, pushing to the upper and lower edge of front and rear panels, a small closed tear to upper edge of rear panel, surface erosion to rear panel and similarly to previously applied ticking to list of Secret Seven Library on rear panel, a corresponding number 24 written in blue ink to the rear flap fold, some internal spotting and damp staining.
