A first edition, first printing published by Nelson in 1914. A very good book with a little rippling patch to the front and rear boards. Some rubbing to the edges. Some spotting to the endpapers.
Map-illustrated endpapers. The six plates are correctly signed ‘E.W.Haslehust’ but the artist’s name is spelt incorrectly on the List of Illustrations page (seemingly a common occurrence with Haslehust contributions).
