£475.00

A first edition, first printing published by Gollancz in 1937. Edith Sitwell’s only novel. A near fine book without inscriptions. Titles in gilt beautifully intact. A little pushing to the spine tips and corners. In the rare dust wrapper, so often found in horrific condition. This has a small loss to the head of the front panel and chipping to the spine tips and corners. Small stain to the browned spine. A fictionalised biography of the life of Jonathan Swift, with a printed dedication to John Sparrow. Only 4,350 copies were printed. Fifoot EA30.
Unusual to find in the rare dust wrapper without the usual large losses.
