First Edition, first printings between 1956-63, with coloured frontispieces and a number of coloured and monochrome plates throughout. Volume one book has a neat gift inscription. All in original cloth with gilt backs. A near fine, clean set in dustwrappers. The wrappers with some chipping to extremities. ‘Paraguay’ is clipped and ‘Paradise’ has some small tape burns to the wrapper edges. A really good, fresh set in the original colourful wrappers of Attenborough’s earliest books, recording his Zoo Quest animal-foraging expeditions in many different territories. A rare set by one of the leading presenters of all time.
