A first edition, first printing of ‘The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe’ published by Bles in 1950. A very good book with a neat gift inscription to the head of the front free endpaper. Some shadowing to the edges of the boards and the spine as is common with this title – spotting also to the spine. In a dust wrapper which has benefitted from some restorative repair to the bottom of the front panel and spine tips and to the edges. Presents very well indeed.
The first of the Narnia novels to be produced, but the second in the sequence. Includes wardrobes, Turkish Delight and beavers.
