A first edition, first printing of Sharpe’s Sword by Bernard Cornwell, published by Collins in 1983. A very good book free from internal inscriptions, spotting to the edge of front free end paper, text block with slight browning and very minor spotting, the front board, spine and rear panel in general good condition. In a very good unclipped wrapper with some internal spotting and browning to to the top edge, with pushing to the top edge of the front flap, crease at the base of the rear panel and tear in the knuckle of the rear flap fold. The rarest of the series.

Sharpe’s Sword by Bernard Cornwell follows the adventures of Richard Sharpe, a British soldier in the Napoleonic Wars. In this instalment, Sharpe is tasked with leading a daring mission behind enemy lines to rescue a captured Spanish noblewoman. Amidst political intrigue and personal vendettas, Sharpe navigates treacherous terrain, facing formidable foes and testing the limits of his courage and resourcefulness. Cornwell’s gripping narrative immerses readers in the brutality and heroism of battle, painting a vivid portrait of one man’s quest for honour and redemption.
