Some browning to the spine and light chipping to the spine tips and to the corners. Tipped in to the first blank endpaper is a hand-written letter from Ransome, dated July 2nd 1937 and reads: Dear Mr McCulloch/Thank you very much/for your vivid, brilliant/ reading of my book/ I believe you could read the alphabet and make it/sound interesting/Yours sincerely/Arthur Ransome/. The sixth in the ‘Swallows and Amazons’ series.
